This was another project I did for my postgrad course at the university of the arts, london. One of the recurring feedback I had gotten from the term before was to take more risks with my design and be more adventurous, so for this unit I decided to push myself and work on a website instead of a publication.

For this project, we had a few designers who came and spoke to us about their work and we had to choose 4 of them and design a website or a publication talking about it.

This was supposed to be celebration of their work. We had to be respectful of their work and make sure we don’t do it injustice.

I feel like one of the biggest challenge I faced while designing this project was how to create a separate identity for all four pages of the designers that represented their design language individually but at the same time keeping a consistent visual language for the website as a whole. All the designers clearly have a very different style which I have tried to point out right from the

beginning at the content page when you hover and see a small clip of their work. I love how different each video is which gives a glimpse of how contrasting everyone’s work is from each other.

It was also nice to think and design the flow and structure of the website by thinking about the audience, how they would react to it, and how I can make it a better experience for them. How by keeping the position of some navigations constant, I can make the user ‘learn’ where it is supposed to be. My favourite part was definitely

figuring out the animations and working out the kinks while prototyping. Seeing how a tiny detail made an entirely different impact in an animation and just a lot of hit and trial was really fun.
