For the collaborative unit of my postgrad course, we were divided into groups and encouraged to collaborate. “At what point does AI start building a personality?” was a question I stumbled on, which further developed into more research on AI interaction with children and education and we ended up deciding our topic as ‘the first ever AI school inthe year 2050’ by keeping in mind its ethical implications.

One of the biggest questions I asked was “what would an AI look like?” I decided to visualise what the AI teacher for our school looks like and I researched by watching and reading up on different interpretations of an AI done by other people over the years as well as asking AI to visualise itself to get a better understanding of it. I wanted to give it an abstract yet calming look.

I also decided to make an app for the students of the school and I started the designing process by making icons for the app using the chosen typefac to develop a unified visual experience for the app as a whole. 

My main outcome for this project was the studen app and staying true to the topic, I took a lot of help from ChatGPT — AI itself and it was actually really fun. Since I had to make all of the content for this hypothetical app myself it was actually really nice to have the help because it wrote down everything for me and it also helped me be more curious and explore how deep i can go with the app.
